The President’s Fruit Salad

Washington loved pineapple, Jefferson planted 1100 peach trees and Madison tended 3000 pear trees.  Lincoln liked to put them together with shredded cheddar and a creamy dressing. And so do we.    $2.99

Warm brie and strawberries on top of mixed greens with carrot, cucumber, tomato  with toasted almonds in a honey cider dressing  $7.99

The Admiral’s Salmon      

After defeating the British Navy, French Admiral Comte de Grasse shared his favorite fish recipe with General Washington.  Fresh salmon steaks oven baked with carrots, onion, capers and cilantro in a light lemon oil dressing.  Served with rice.

At quiet times during the siege of Yorktown, General Washington and the  Marquis de Lafayette would trade recipes.

This is one of the young Lafayette’s favorites.

Hogg Island Pork Tenderloin

Instead of working to maintain fences, the early colonists kept livestock on an island.  Hogg Island is in the James River close by Jamestown.

We roast a perfect pork tenderloin and cover it with pan gravy and offer your choice of rice, pasta or mashed potatoes.    $14.99

 

Battlefield Beef Stroganoff
